The hashtag wall
Everyone says: "Add 10-30 hashtags so your post gets discovered in all those feeds."
The claim: more tags means more discovery surfaces and more reach.
What's actually true: hashtag-feed traffic on LinkedIn is a rounding error — most people don't browse tags, and follow-a-hashtag surfaces almost nothing into the main feed. The mistake is dumping 20 tags that make the post look like spam and signal low effort. Tested fix: use 0-3 tags, and only ones that describe the topic for the rare search, not aspirational reach grabs. Then put the discovery energy where it works — clear keywords in the first two lines, which actually surface in LinkedIn's search. The post body is your real index, not the tags.
It's not too few hashtags. It's that hashtags were never the door.
