Nofollowing your own internal links to "sculpt PageRank" stopped working in 2009. Some of you never got the memo.
Controversial but: the old trick — nofollow the cart and login links to funnel equity to money pages — backfired the day Google changed how nofollow flows. The PageRank assigned to that link doesn't redistribute to your other links anymore. It evaporates. You're not sculpting. You're deleting.
The fix: don't link to junk pages at all, or noindex them at the page level. Control crawl through architecture, not by spraying nofollow on internal links like it's 2008.
