Myth: "This host uses NVMe, so it's the fast one."
NVMe on the spec sheet. Clap, clap. Now ask: who told you disk speed was your bottleneck?
Reality of the comparison:
— Your bottleneck on shared hosting is almost never the disk. It's PHP workers, I/O throttling, and CPU caps.
— A host can run blazing NVMe AND cap your I/O at 1 MB/s in the fine print. Both true at once.
— "NVMe" says nothing about how many accounts share that drive's queue.
They advertise the part that sounds fast and never mention the limit that makes it slow.
Reality: NVMe with an I/O throttle is a sports car in a parking garage — read the limits, not the badge.
