The FTD that vanished between your tracker and the broker panel
A recurring failure: you log a first-time deposit in your own tracker, but the broker affiliate panel never credits it. Nine times out of ten it's not fraud — it's a mismatched attribution window.
What goes wrong:
— Your tracker uses last-click with a 30-day cookie. The broker's panel reconciles on a 7-day deposit window from registration, not click.
— A lead registers day 2, funds day 12. You count it; they don't.
The fix:
— Pull the broker's actual reconciliation rule from the IB/affiliate agreement, not the dashboard tooltip. Ask specifically: window measured from click, registration, or KYC pass?
— Set your tracker's conversion window to the shorter of the two, then add a 'pending FTD' status for funds that land outside it so you can dispute manually.
— Reconcile weekly against their raw CSV export, not the aggregated UI numbers, which often lag 24-72h.
Who should skip this fix: single-broker promoters on a CPA flat fee where the network eats reconciliation risk — you're already insulated.
Verdict: Window mismatch, not missing money.
