Elementor vs Bricks: client handoff
Both ship a visual editor, but the handoff story splits hard.
Elementor 3.x:
— Pros: role manager locks editing per-user, Kits export full design tokens, huge plugin pool for the next dev to recognize
— Cons: ~12 div wrappers per section, locked-in HTML, client edits in the bloated front-end editor
Bricks 1.9:
— Pros: clean nestable markup, global classes map to real CSS, lighter DOM the agency that inherits it can actually read
— Cons: smaller hiring pool, less hand-holding, the client needs a quick Loom to not break query loops
Best for: Elementor when you hand off to a non-dev client who'll self-edit; Bricks when the next person touching it writes CSS.
