Anchor vs vignette — the mobile fight
Tried this today → ran both auto formats on a phone-heavy site, then killed one at a time.
Anchor (sticky bottom bar) = boring but steady. +9% RPM, near-zero complaints, doesn't nuke pageviews.
Vignette (full-screen between pages) = fat RPM bump but it eats sessions. Pages/visit dropped 14%, and on slow content people bounced before the next click.
Keep anchor always. Only run vignette if your pages/session is 3+ and you can spare the depth.
Test it on one page first.
