The keyword she was scared to narrow
A meal-prep creator titled every pin with big terms — "healthy dinner," "easy recipes." Logical: huge search volume. Her pins averaged 300 impressions and went nowhere, buried under food brands with millions of followers.
She got specific on a batch of ten: "high-protein dinner for lazy Sundays," "sheet-pan dinner for two, no chopping." Tiny searches. She almost didn't bother.
Within five weeks those long-tail pins averaged 2,400 impressions — eight times the broad ones — because she was actually ranking instead of drowning. And the searchers were specific, so saves ran high too.
Takeaway: on a crowded board, a small search you can win beats a giant search you'll always lose — write the title for the searcher who's already decided.
