"I joined the new network and my old posts started earning more"
The claim: the network "optimized" legacy content that AdSense had left flat.
The asterisk: joining a managed network is usually bundled with a technical onboarding — they fix your ads.txt, prune duplicate slots, add header bidding, and clean up the ad refresh logic. Those are infrastructure wins, not magic.
🚩 Hidden variable: header bidding turning on. Going from a single AdSense demand source to 15 SSPs competing per impression raises clearing prices regardless of which company manages it.
The "network premium" is mostly the auction getting more bidders. You'd see the same lift from any setup that added header bidding.
Not saying the onboarding didn't help — saying credit the auction mechanics, not the brand. More bidders, higher prices. That's it.
